X'am - Kujireika

Watched the anime X'amd a few weeks ago and fell in love. This is Kujireika; she comes from the same village as Nakiami. She has a twisted logic regarding how to keep her village safe from the military. Her heart is in the right place but she doesn't make very wise decisions.

I'm currently preparing my cosplay of Kujireika for ACEN 2012. I already have my wig and everything from the waist up. I just ordered my blue contacts today and am still gathering materials for the bottom half of the costume. I'm excited to see it all come together : )

X'am - Nakiami

Watched the anime X'amd a few weeks ago and fell in love. This is Nakiami, the heroine of the show. She's tough as nails but also has a huge heart.

X'amd - Ishuu

Watched the anime X'amd a few weeks ago and fell in love. This is the captain of the Zanbani Postal ship in the show. She loves to drink, smoke, and read poetry. And also show off her bare midriff, apparently.

Meet Torashima

This little fella began following me whenever I left out for work last summer, so I decided to keep him. He got his name from his tiger-like stripes (in Japanese, tiger = tora / stripes = shima). I'm not sure if that's how one would say "tiger stripes" over there... Maybe they would say "tora no shima" (tiger's stripes)... I don't know.

He started off super hyper destructive. One day, when I thought I couldn't take it anymore and had made up my mind that I was going to find a new home for him, he started acting cool. He didn't even seem like the same cat. It was like he read my mind. It was amazing, LOL.

I let him outside just about everyday. He has his own little life, haha. He'll wonder around for a few hours and come back when he's done. He's a really good cat. He even carries his toys around the house and drop them in front of you when he wants to play, like he's a puppy.

We've been good buddies for a few months. As long as he stays out of the chandelier in the dining room, we can keep being friends.

Still Alive (been listening to a lot of Big Bang, haha)

Hey, hey! So sorry for the lack of posts... the reason behind it? A mix of burning out and laziness / procrastination. Got a lot more on my plate than ever. I've been trying to finish things on my list so I can move on to other important matters but then it dawned on me: I can't do everything by myself like I once thought. Well, I can't do everything in a short amount of time by myself like I once thought. I've been running low on energy for a little while now, and I'm not getting any younger. Perhaps I should start taking vitamins. My diet is horrible, too. I should change that as well.

I spent the rest of 2011 just chilling with friends and working. I dyed my hair a blondish color and got a nose ring as well. Been experimenting with makeup a little more, too. People who apply makeup religiously everyday are amazing. It's a bit time consuming, but still fun to do. I've also gotten into circle lenses. My friend, Lisha, showed me a site called pinky paradise where she gets her lenses. I really love the whole doll-like effect it gives your eyes.

As of lately, I'm finishing up the last of my freelance. There's a new project I've been writing in my notebook during my spare time so I'm really looking forward to starting it. It'll be a yuri (girl's love or girl on girl). A lot of people are used to me only drawing fantasy related things so I'm excited to see what they'll think about it once it's done. I'm thinking of illustrating it in black and white, with traditional tones one would see in manga. I also want it to be a complete story in a single graphic novel.

That's about it. Here's some random pics from mid to end 2011. Hope everyone who's been following my blog has been taking care.
